This will ensure that, for example, we can easily contact you regarding any last-minute issues that might arise, that your name and title is correct in our promotional materials and is announced correctly by our emcee, that we can accommodate your requirements for speaking aids, that we use the correct handles to tag you in social media, and so forth.
