AODA Compliance
The Greater Niagara Chamber of Commerce is committed to achieving and maintaining all required standards and practices recommended for our organization’s size in The Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005 (AODA)
This includes:
- Creating accessibility policies
- Training employees and volunteers on:
- The Ontario Human Rights Code
- Accessible Customer Service
- Any accessibility requirements that apply to their job description.
- Providing accessible customer service
- Implementing accessible employment practices including:
- making our recruitment process accessible
- informing our employees of supports
- offering accessible formats and communication supports for employees
- providing individual accessible workplace emergency response information
- considering the needs of employees with disabilities in performance management, career development, and re-deployment processes.
- Providing accessible information. GNCC members, the public and our employees will have written information and other forms of communication accessible, upon request
