Clickback Ranks No. 106 on the 2017 PROFIT 500
Canadian Business and PROFIT ranked Clickback No. 106 on the 29th annual PROFIT 500, the definitive ranking of Canada’s Fastest-Growing Companies. CIBC Run for the Cure Returns October 1
In 1992, a small group of volunteers began a movement in Toronto’s High Park. That day they brought 1,500 people together to raise awareness and $85,000 for the breast cancer cause. This marked the beginning of what was to become the CIBC Run for the Cure.
This event brings the community together, including those who have a personal connection to breast cancer and want to show their support. It’s an inspirational day that raises significant funds for CCS, the largest charitable funder of breast cancer research in Canada.

Wrapped in Courage Pancake Breakfast Campaign Kicks Off on November 7
In November 2013, shelters across the province launched the Wrapped in Courage, purple scarf campaign, engaging their communities to join in raising the profile of the often overlooked issue of woman abuse in Ontario. The purple scarf is a symbol that shows that it takes the strength of an entire community to end violence against women.
Gillian’s Place is holding a pancake breakfast on November 7 to kick off this year’s Wrapped in Courage campaign. Stop by Market Square in St. Catharines for pancakes and a scarf.

CEOs Worry an Amazon Headquarters in Ontario Would Soak up Tech Talent
Ontario has so few available workers with high-technology skills that it would be a “big problem” if Amazon.com Inc. chose the province to host a second headquarters, a panel of business executives has warned.
Mayors from across Canada, including those in the Greater Toronto Area, have announced their intention to compete for the Seattle-based company s second headquarters, dubbed HQ2. The online retailing giant has said the project would create 50,000 jobs and bring more than $5-billion (U.S.) in investment.
Ushering in a New Era of Trade: CETA to Open New Opportunities for Canadian Business
Yesterday marks a historic moment for Canadian business as the world’s most modernized trade deal, the Canada-EU Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA), came into force.
Once fully implemented, CETA will eliminate tariffs on more than 99% of all goods that Canada trades to participating European nations. The progressive agreement will also break down barriers such as temporary travel restrictions and foreign investor risks, while addressing environmental protections.
Canada Awaits U.S. NAFTA Proposal on Auto Content Rules
The Canadian automotive industry is anxiously waiting to see if the next round of NAFTA negotiations will provide some clarity on American demands that vehicles must have “substantial” U.S. content to qualify for duty-free movement within North America.
Rules of origin — one of the most complicated and contentious issues on the table, particularly when it comes to the auto sector — is on the agenda for the third round which starts Saturday in Ottawa.
