Public health inspectors have revisited restaurants in Niagara that are offering takeout and delivery during the COVID-19 pandemic to make sure they’re in top shape.
Niagara Region said its inspectors have conducted 124 restaurant inspections since March 16.
“Given we’ve done that, we feel quite confident that they are going to be very safe,” Niagara acting medical officer of health Dr. Mustafa Hirji said Sunday.
Premier Doug Ford closed all restaurants and bars with the exception of takeout orders and deliveries as part of a state of emergency for the pandemic.
