The Ministry of Labour, Immigration, Training and Skills Development (MLITSD) is conducting a Healthy Worker in Healthy Workplaces initiative in all sectors to focus on the prevention of occupational disease. In industrial workplaces, the focus of the initiative will be on awareness and prevention of exposure to crystalline silica.
The initiative focused on prevention of occupational disease and silica exposure is running from October 3 to December 30, with focused inspections beginning on October 31st, 2022.
