Help Make 500 Meals Come True this Holiday Season

Make a Meal Come True this holiday season is our way of giving back to those who need it the most. Last year, the Seaway Mall and the Hope Centre asked customers to buy someone in need a Christmas dinner and we were overwhelmed with the response.

This year, we wish to double the amount of meals. To do so, we are asking each of you to help us reach our goal of feeding 500 people. Each meal will cost $10 and people wishing to donate can do so at Seaway’s Customer Service desk.

The Christmas meal will take place in Welland’s Holy Trinity Church at 1 pm on December 25TH, 2017. The donations will also help the Salvation Army, Open Arms Mission and the Hope Centre give meals to the less fortunate.

“To the disenfranchised and disheartened, the money raised this Christmas will bring both food and hope,” said Rob Collier, Centre Manager and Pastor at Open Arms Mission.

“Working together with the community is very important to us”, said Mike Belcastro President of the Mall. “Make a Meal Come True is a reminder that the people who are in need today, have the support of the community” Belcastro said. “They are not alone” he continued.
