Niagara, May 25, 2018 – On May 29th, the Greater Niagara Chamber of Commerce (GNCC) will host a public debate for candidates in the St. Catharines electoral district. The debate will be hosted at St. Catharines Collegiate on 34 Catherine Street, and is free to attend. Doors open at 6pm, and the debate itself will be held between 6:30pm and 7:30pm.
The debate will feature, in alphabetical order by last name, Sandie Bellows of the Progressive Conservative Party of Ontario, Jim Bradley of the Ontario Liberal Party, Colin Ryrie of the Green Party of Ontario, and Jennie Stevens of the Ontario New Democratic Party. Candidates of other parties have been invited to give statements and will be available to the public for questions. Only those parties eligible for a per-vote public subsidy under campaign finance law will take the stage for the main discussion. The debate will be moderated by GNCC President & CEO Mishka Balsom.
Members of the public will be able to pose their own questions to candidates at the event. Members of the public are also invited to submit questions to be asked by the moderator ahead of time by emailing info@gncc.ca or by tweeting to @The_GNCC.
