Greater Niagara Chamber of Commerce

GNCC AGM Update

Every year, in accordance with the Greater Niagara Chamber of Commerce (GNCC) bylaws, we hold an Annual General Meeting (AGM) within one hundred and twenty (120) days following the end of each fiscal year. Due to the evolving situation with the COVID-19 pandemic, the Ontario government approved an emergency order that would temporarily suspend certain legislative provisions and set out replacement provisions to provide flexibility for corporate meetings. This emergency order applies to not-for-profit corporations such as GNCC and allows for the ability to extend the timeframe by which organizations must hold the AGM. At this time, the deadline to hold AGM’s has been extended by the Ontario government to 90 days after the state of emergency is terminated.

Therefore, in accordance with the Ontario government emergency order, the GNCC’s AGM will be rescheduled within the 90-day timeframe, after the end of the state of emergency. In the meantime, if you have any questions, please never hesitate reaching out to us.

Kindest regards, and continued wishes of health.
