Niagara Wireless Internet acquires Talk Wireless
Niagara Wireless Internet Company (NWIC), a leading provider of high-speed wireless internet services across the Niagara Region, has announced its acquisition of Talk Wireless Inc. Under the acquisition, Talk Wireless Inc. will continue to operate independently, maintaining the strong relationships and quality service it has built over the last 25 years.
Established in 1997, Talk Wireless Inc. has been a prominent provider of two-way radio solutions throughout the Niagara Region, renowned for its high-quality communication services.

Gas prices expected to rise 4 cents a litre this weekend
Ontario gasoline prices are expected to rise four cents per litre on Saturday, Oct. 5.
Prices already rose a penny Friday, so after Saturday’s increase, the average price of regular in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) could be 152.9 cents per litre, said Dan McTeague, president of Canadians for Affordable Energy. The average price of premium is expected to rise to 182.9 cents per litre. Prices tend to be lower outside the GTA.

Grape and Wine Festival among recipients of federal tourism grants
Today, the Honourable Filomena Tassi, Minister responsible for the Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario announced an investment of over $4.2 million for 30 organizations across southern Ontario that are diversifying their tourism offerings.
Among the recipients was the Niagara Grape and Wine Festival, which received $67,000 to develop a bilingual mobile app and launch a new culinary tourism event.

As part of Concentra and EQ Bank’s Empowering Your Community grant program, PenFinancial is pleased to announce that they’ve been awarded $25,000 to support the Fort Erie Native Friendship Centre’s ‘Grow’ program, which provides holistic, sustainable, and land-based Indigenous learning to the Centre’s participants and the wider community partners.
