Community Support Services of Niagara to Host ‘Taste of Welland’

On September 16, Community Support Services of Niagara (CSSN) announced today that they will be holding their major fundraiser of the year, ‘Taste of Welland’. ‘Taste of Welland’ is an opportunity for participants that purchase tickets to not only support CSSN programs and clients, but also have an opportunity to taste specialty foods prepared by 4 local restaurants. Registration begins at 11:30 am at the Seaway Mall, Ernie Allen Court and the participants will be departing promptly at 12 noon. Buses will be available for restaurants that are a further distance from the mall. After all four restaurants have been visited, the event will end at the Seaway Mall with coffee and dessert. The local participating restaurants are as follows:

  • Mr. Mikes Steakhouse Casual
  • Taris on the Water
  • The Black Sheep Lounge
  • Ye Olde Squire
  • Mama Misfits Cheesecakery
  • Cafe Mochaccino

These restaurants have graciously donated their space, staff and food to assist CSSN with this event. Tickets can be purchased at the CSSN office in the Seaway Mall (Welland) for only $50.00 each. 100% of all proceeds will fund CSSN programs to allow access for more individuals needing assistance.

Carolyn Askeland, Executive Director says, “This event is an opportunity to bring together local businesses and participants to increase awareness of local restaurants while increasing awareness of CSSN programs. It is an opportunity for those that may not know about our programs to become aware of the resources that are available to them.”
