Members of the public are encouraged to donate in their community.
Team Up for Terry Fox
For millions of people worldwide Terry Fox is the face of cancer research. His Marathon of Hope inspired a country and The Terry Fox Run, now in its fourth decade, continues to motivate people here in Canada and around the world. To date, over $600 million has been raised in support of Terry’s cause.
This year the run is being held Sunday September 17 at Brock University and expects to have more than 400 participants. With your help we will continue to make Terry’s dream a reality in the fight to cure cancer.
Jail & Bail Supports Big Brothers Big Sisters
Do you have a co-worker who is always running late, never refills the coffee pot, hums a little too loudly or always leaves dirty dishes in the kitchen sink? Well now’s your chance to issue a warrant and make them a Jailbird!
On Wednesday, September 27th, willing participants will be mock arrested at a pre-arranged location by Niagara Regional Police Interim Chief, Bryan MacCulloch, Inspector Marco Giannico, CEO of Big Brothers Big Sisters, Dale Davis, and a group of volunteers as they are whisked away to the on-site jail located at Market Square in downtown St. Catharines.

Canadian Chamber Extends Invitation to Minister of Finance: Bring Consultations to the Chambers
In response to the September 5 announcement by the Minister of Finance that he and his colleagues want to discuss his proposed tax changes with small business owners across the country, the Canadian Chamber of Commerce is offering to organize 25 cross-country forums.
“I welcome the Minister’s wish to meet with small business owners.” said the Hon. Perrin Beatty, President and CEO of the Canadian Chamber of Commerce. “This would be without cost to the government. Our only preconditions would be that the government put these massive tax changes on hold to allow time for these meetings to take place and that it commit to fairly consider the issues raised.”
