GNCC and Niagara Community Foundation celebrate Giving Tuesday
Today is #GivingTuesday, the world’s largest generosity movement! Strategically place right after Black Friday and Cyber Monday- the two largest retail days of the year- Giving Tuesday is a reminder to give back to the charities and nonprofits in our community. This year, the GNCC in partnership with Niagara Community Foundation, encourages everyone to find a charity of your choice to donate to and give back to Niagara.

Niagara-on-the-Lake water and wastewater rates will increase a combined 6.62%
Niagara-on-the-Lake residents will have to dig a little deeper into their pockets to pay for their water and wastewater services next year.
Councillors at their Nov. 28 budget committee accepted staff’s plan to increase the water and wastewater fees by a combined 6.62 per cent, or a total of $85.22, for 2025.
Ontario spent highest-ever amount on government ads, auditor says
Ontario Premier Doug Ford’s government spent three times the amount of money on government advertising in the last fiscal year as it did the year before — the highest amount ever — and most campaigns were more partisan than informational, the auditor general said Tuesday.
The auditor general also said that Ontario’s opioid strategy, even with its new abstinence-based model for treatment, is outdated and does not serve the current needs of the people.
Enbridge raises quarterly dividend by 3%, releases financial guidance for 2025
Enbridge Inc. raised its quarterly dividend for next year as it released its financial guidance for 2025.
The pipeline company says it will pay a quarterly dividend of 94.25 cents per share, up from 91.5 cents per share, effective March 1.

Niagara Industrial Association and Workforce Collective announce resource sharing agreement
Already partnered through initiatives like the Niagara Workforce Coalition, the Niagara Industrial Association (NIA) and Workforce Collective formally came together in September 2024 to share staff resources and expand operational capacity; ultimately providing better value to membership.
The Workforce Collective team has been supporting NIA’s marketing and communications, project development and event strategies.
Federal government establishes council to deliver first National Infrastructure Assessment
Today, Sean Fraser, Minister of Housing, Infrastructure and Communities Canada, announced the new Canadian Infrastructure Council, an expert advisory body that will deliver the country’s first-ever National Infrastructure Assessment (NIA).
