Her journey included positions as a Control Centre Operator, Deregulation Project Specialist, Manager of Regulatory Services, Project Lead for Smart Metering, Manager of Customer Care, Director of Customer Operations, leading to her current role as Vice President of Metering at Alectra Utilities.
One of Shelley’s defining attributes is her innate ability to lead transformative projects that have left an indelible mark on the industry. Her instrumental role in navigating the complexities of the electricity sector has reshaped the way electricity services are delivered for customers across Alectra’s territory, including the Niagara Region.
Shelley’s vision and expertise were instrumental in the successful deployment of the first-generation Smart Meters and Time-of-Use rates between 2004 and 2009. At present, Shelley is spearheading Alectra Utilities’ efforts in the development and implementation of Smart Grid 2.0.
