Niagara, April 7, 2022 –
The Greater Niagara Chamber of Commerce (GNCC) is pleased to see the selection of Niagara Falls as the site for Atura Power’s first large-scale hydrogen generation plant. The GNCC has been supportive of this project since August 2021, when it first became aware of the possibility of such a development.
“We believe that green energy represents an opportunity, not a cost,” said GNCC CEO Mishka Balsom. “This plant is part of our transition to clean energy sources and clean fuels, but it will also drive economic development and job creation. Niagara has a long history of clean power generation at our hydroelectric stations; we are very glad to see that legacy continue.”
