November is Diabetes Awareness Month – and I Challenge Diabetes is helping area schools across Ontario with their Diabuddies Tour!
Diabuddies is an awareness campaign focusing on school-age children. Through this campaign, our focus is ensuring that students with Type One Diabetes (T1D) are safe, empowered and accepted within our school communities. We want to showcase that even with a chronic disease, a healthy, successful life can be achieved with the right support.
We are increasing awareness about T1D across Ontario by school presentations provided by passionate parents, T1D youth volunteers and elite athlete speakers. These presentations offer education on T1D, breaking down misconceptions and empowering students and staff.
The cost for organizing a Diabuddies Tour is $200. Please refer to the Kids In Schoolboy FAQ page for more information!
