The GNCC is partnering with the Niagara 2021 Canada Summer Games to promote upcoming RFP & RFQ opportunities to Niagara businesses.

The Niagara 2021 Canada Summer Games is scheduled over a period of two weeks in August 2021 and will welcome over 5000 participants (athletes, coaches, officials, etc.) involved in 17 sporting disciplines.

Province launches public consultation on land use and housing policy

Province launches public consultation on land use and housing policy

Ontario residents will have 90 days to comment on changes to Ontario’s land-use policies which, according to Municipal Affairs Minister Steve Clark, will create more housing stock in the province. Clark announced the consultation during a speech at a GNCC breakfast at Rockway Vineyards in St. Catharines on July 22.

Clark said policy changes are intended to speed up the construction of homes — with an emphasis on increasing the variety of options for buyers and renters — to help alleviate Ontario’s housing crisis and lower costs.

Port Colborne Quarry

Port Colborne Quarry

Port Colborne Quarries (PCQ) has operated three pits in Port Colborne for many years. The first, now exhausted, has become subject to public controversy over the future use of the site. Unfortunately, misinformation about these issues has spread. The GNCC hopes to shed light on it and to help elected officials reach an evidence-based decision on this issue.

The GNCC has many members in Port Colborne and has advocated on Port Colborne issues before, including advocating to City Council on issues such as fire bylaws, sidewalk encroachment, and development charges.

Bayfield Announces Revitalization Plans for Niagara Square

Crime Stoppers Hosts 4th Annual Golf Tournament

Join the Crime Stoppers of Niagara for the 4th Annual Golf Tournament, held at Lookout Point Golf Club in Fonthill on September 16, 2019! The day includes 18 holes of golf, driving range, golf carts, hole contests, lunch, a cocktail party, and dinner.
