On August 9, 2016, Southbrook Vineyards hosted Business After Five! Anniversaries were celebrated and artwork was presented at this fine summer networking event. Catherine Cunningham bid 100 hours at last year’s PRICELESS art auction. After completing her hours — the majority of which were fulfilled at Pathstone Mental Health, Rotary St. Catharines, and Niagara Action for Animals — Catherine was presented with her piece. “10,000 dots” by local artist Kim VS was presented to Catherine by Jessica Friesen, CEO of Gales Gas. Chelsey Harasym also earned her artwork by volunteering with many local organizations including Rose Cottage Visiting Volunteers. Chelsey’s piece, Wreath I, was created by local artist Katie Mazi and presented by Sandy Howe, the Associate Director of Experiential Education at Brock University. Anniversaries were also celebrated, with Maria Rekrut receiving recognition for 30 years in business with Niagara Cottage and Spa. Mike Pollington of Pollington Productions Inc. was also recognized for 20 years in business. Congratulations Maria and Mike on your accomplishments! Special thank you to hosts Southbrook Vineyards and PromoCentre for supplying our networking lanyards! The 2016 Business After Five series is presented by FirstOntario Credit Union, and St. Catharines Standard, Welland Tribune and Niagara Falls Review. See you at the next BA5 on September 6 at the Post Office by Shannon Passero in Thorold!
