The Greater Niagara Chamber of Commerce (GNCC), in partnership with the Women in Niagara Council (WIN), is proud to announce the finalists and bestowed award recipients for the 2025 Women in Business Awards (WIBAs), celebrating the leadership, innovation, and excellence of women across the Niagara region.
The 25th Annual Women in Business Awards will take place on Thursday, November 13, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Sheraton Fallsview Hotel, 5875 Falls Avenue, Niagara Falls, ON.
Tickets are available at https://gncc.ca/calendar/women-in-business-awards/
Now in its 25th year, the WIBAs recognize women who have made outstanding contributions to business, community, and innovation in Niagara. From entrepreneurs and educators to researchers and community leaders, the finalists embody the strength, creativity, and dedication that make Niagara’s business community thrive.
This year’s bestowed awards celebrate two extraordinary women whose achievements have made a lasting impact both locally and beyond. The Lifetime Achievement Award, presented by Airbus Helicopters Canada, will honour Anna Olson, one of Canada’s most recognizable culinary figures. A celebrated chef, author, and television personality with more than two decades on Food Network Canada and a global following through her Oh Yum YouTube channel, Anna continues to elevate Canadian cuisine while mentoring and empowering women in business and the culinary arts. The Ruth Unrau Legacy Award, presented by the Niagara Community Foundation, will be presented to Shannon Passero, a Welland-born entrepreneur, designer, and advocate for women in business. As owner of Shannon Passero Design and creator of internationally recognized fashion brands Pure Handknit and Neon Buddha, Shannon has championed ethical production, revitalized heritage buildings in Thorold, and established the annual Shannon Passero Women in Business Grant, empowering female entrepreneurs across Ontario.
