Travel is shifting from checklist tourism to deeper, more intentional experiences. In my latest article, Beyond the Bucket List: Why Meaningful Travel Is on the Rise, I explore why more travelers are choosing connection and perspective over pace.

Tour Operators are responding to this trend with offerings such as:

Women Only – Cultural Connections
In certain destinations, all-women departures allow access to conversations and spaces not typically available to mixed groups — creating deeper cultural understanding while supporting women-owned businesses.

Local Living Tours
Settle in with a local host family, and experience daily life from the inside out in some of the world’s most fascinating destinations.

Rediscover Travel
A Community for Widows and Widowers who are ready to explore again and would like to do so in a group of like-minded individuals.

Of course, for those who enjoy staying active, GolfPickleball and European Beer Getaways are always available, both on land programs and select river cruises — blending sport, scenery, and camaraderie.

If you are considering travel in the coming year, I would be pleased to help you design an experience that leaves a lasting, indelible mark.

This includes a rotating list of acting Chairs, who can attend to all Regional Chair duties and ensure uninterrupted regional activities. New research from Interac Corp. suggests that fraud is increasingly evolving alongside current events, with scammers leveraging artificial intelligence and economic uncertainty to target Canadians. According to a national survey commissioned by Interac, nearly six in 10 Canadians say they have encountered tariff-related scam attempts in the past six months, highlighting how fraud is beginning to mirror real-world headlines.

The findings were released during Fraud Prevention Month and reflect growing concern among consumers about the sophistication and frequency of digital fraud. The survey indicates that scams referencing tariffs, package delays, customs fees, and impersonation calls have become common, particularly as economic discussions about cross-border trade and inflation continue to dominate public conversation.
