Canadian manufacturers battling dual challenges of technology integration and tariff compliance
Devin Partida, ReHack Magazine
Canadian manufacturers realize the importance of adopting new technologies to stay competitive, but many are simultaneously adjusting their strategies to minimize the adverse effects of the Trump administration’s tariffs. Well-chosen products address these pain points, especially as leaders react to new requirements.
Bringing technology into workflows is not easy. Complications arise when decision-makers have legacy equipment or encounter resistance from workers hesitant to change their processes. However, manufacturing leaders can proactively respond to improve outcomes. Researching commercially available technologies and products is a good start, but they should also create implementation timelines to minimize preventable challenges.
