Vote for your favourite Iconic Canadian Song to be performed by the Choir at the Main Stage on Canada Day.  Choices:  Share the Land or Stand Tall by Burton Cummings, or another song!  There are a ton of options to choose from such as Neil Young, Bryan Adams, Leonard Cohen, Tragically Hip, the Guess Who and more recent artists such as Arcade Fire, Strumbellas, City and Colour. Voting open until May 24. Email your favourite iconic Canadian Song or Artist to submit.

Calling All Singers

Come Join the Canada Day Choir on Saturday, July 1. Choir Rehearsal to take place at the Children’s Stage from 11 am to 12 noon at the Children’s Stage in the Rosberg Family Park, beside Niagara Falls City Hall. Whether you are a shower singer or belt out songs in your car when no one is around, The City of Niagara Falls wants to hear you sing it loud and proud on Canada Day as we celebrate 150 years of Canada, in partnership with Choir Nation. Choir Nation provides an opportunity for people who love to sing, people who aren’t sure whether they can sing (you can!) and all those in between to learn an iconic Canadian song that you will get to perform as part of the Niagara Falls Canada Day Celebration.  Over a 60 minute session, in the Rosberg Family Park beside City Hall, Music Director Sarah Jerrom will bring everyone together and the finished product will be an incredible choir.  This event guarantees fun, some learning about proper vocal techniques and breathing for singers, and a sense of pride in what you can accomplish after you make your live music debut for the Opening Ceremonies at the Main Stage on Canada Day. Meet us on July 1 at 11:00 am at the Children’s Stage in the Rosberg Family Park at Queen & Erie.  Free Parking is available in all City Lots along Park Street.
