Building a Canadian Strategy for Early COVID-19 Treatments

Building a Canadian Strategy for Early COVID-19 Treatments

About this event

Health Canada has approved a number of early treatments for COVID-19 that can prevent hospitalizations and deaths for the patients most at risk. More treatments are also under review by Health Canada. In addition to vaccination, rapid testing and other public health strategies, the effective deployment of early treatment options can support sustained business recovery and open borders and trade.

A number of countries including the United States, Australia and others have adopted strategies to support and accelerate the implementation of early Covid-19 treatments, including building awareness. While Canada has taken some steps in this regard, currently there is no such national strategy.

Please join us for a discussion with clinicians and experts form other jurisdictions to discuss what the elements could be for such strategy in Canada and the implications for businesses and the economy.
