She first released an EP called Take Me Back in 2016, and her 2020 EP With You won the Juno Award for Vocal Jazz Album of the Year at the 2021 Juno Awards, one of Canada’s top music honors.
Sammy’s music is appreciated for its emotional depth and stylistic fusion, and she’s performed at major Canadian jazz festivals and venues, including the TD Toronto Jazz Festival and the Festival International de Jazz de Montréal.
She continues to release new work and build her profile as a compelling voice in contemporary Canadian jazz.
Tom Fleming is a Toronto-based Canadian jazz guitarist and composer, known for his modern, versatile playing and work with leading Canadian jazz artists, including vocalist Barbra Lica.
